FAQ's
Are peanuts healthful ?

Peanuts are unique as a snack food. With zero cholesterol
and packed with vitamins, yet still a delicious treat ! Amazingly ,
peanuts  are not really nuts (which can be fattening). They actually belong to the legume (bean) family and grow in the soil, not on trees like nuts.  If you are in search of a healthy alternative to potato chips, french fries and many other 'killer' snacks, why not give boiled peanuts a try ?
What are "boiled" peanuts ?
These are generally green peanuts, but sometimes raw, that have been boiled continuously with salt and/or other seasonings for up to 15 hours. This imparts a 'mushy' texture and bean-like yet briney flavor inside the shell, that is unique and much loved in many parts of the world, including much of the southern U.S.
There are some who dislike them totally and then those who will drive 50 miles to get them. We do know of cases where a certain person said they hated them, and later began returning for more. Of course, there are people who dislike ice cream also !
